2️⃣ PPA Virginia Beach Sees Early Upsets & Fierce Competition! 🤯

The PPA Tour's Fasenra Virginia Beach Cup kicked off this week, and it's already a wild ride! After a four-hour rain delay, the top-seeded men's doubles team of Federico Staksrud and Hayden Patriquin were pushed to their limits, overcoming a 4-10 deficit in the final game and saving three match points to secure a thrilling victory. These kinds of nail-biting games are what make pro pickleball so fun to watch!


3️⃣ New Tournament Brings Pickleball to Nagaland, India! 🇮🇳

The sport's global expansion is in full swing! The 1st Niathu Open Pickleball Tournament took place in Dimapur, Nagaland, showcasing the sport's rising popularity in the region. With significant prize money and the presence of notable officials, the event highlights pickleball's growth in India, moving from a niche activity to a mainstream sport. The event featured a total of 66 players competing in men's doubles, mixed doubles, and men's doubles 40+, promising two action-packed days of competition and camaraderie.


4️⃣ The PPA & MLP Are Back on TV! 📺

Good news for fans who love to watch! The APP Tour announced a major partnership to bring 14 of its events to national television on ESPN, CBS, and Fox Sports networks, and the PPA Tour's draws for the Virginia Beach Cup are all over the internet, a testament to the growing media presence of the sport. It's clear that pickleball's appeal is translating to the screen, making it easier for fans to follow their favorite players and teams.


5️⃣ The World Pickleball Championships are Around the Corner! 🗓️

Get your paddles ready! The 2025 Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships are just weeks away, scheduled to run from October 31st to November 9th in Farmers Branch, Texas. The event, which is the "largest pickleball festival in the world," will feature over 4,200 amateur players, as well as the world's highest level of professional competition. With daily festivities and even live music, it's a can't-miss event for any pickleball lover!
