1️⃣ Ben Johns & Anna Leigh Waters Double Crown at PPA Bristol! 🥇🥇

The Veolia Bristol Open was all about the familiar faces on top! Ben Johns and Anna Leigh Waters once again dominated the competition, both achieving the coveted "Double Crown" by winning men's/women's doubles and mixed doubles. The most thrilling match of the tournament was a five-game mixed doubles final where Johns and Waters battled the formidable sibling duo of JW and Jorja Johnson, ultimately securing the win. These two continue to set the gold standard in the sport!

2️⃣ John Lucian Goins Makes History! 🌟

A massive congratulations to 17-year-old John Lucian Goins! He stunned the pickleball world by winning his very first PPA Tour gold medal in men's singles at the Bristol Open. The teenager, who entered as the 19th seed, took down a series of top-ranked players, culminating in a thrilling three-game victory in the finals. His performance signals a new wave of talent and a truly exciting future for men's singles.

3️⃣ MLP Playoffs Are Here! 💥

The regular season of Major League Pickleball is officially over, and the playoffs are kicking off today, August 15th, in San Diego! All 16 Premier and Challenger teams have battled for points all season, and now it's all on the line. The St. Louis Shock, fueled by MVP-level performances from Hayden Patriquin, enter as the number one seed, followed closely by the once-unbeaten Dallas Flash. We're on the edge of our seats to see who will make it to the Finals in New York City! 🗽

4️⃣ A Global Pickleball Celebration! 🎉

August 8th marked National Pickleball Day, and companies like The Picklr celebrated in style! The largest indoor pickleball franchise hosted a free wood paddle tournament at all 47 of its locations, celebrating the 60th anniversary of the sport. This fun, retro-themed event was a great way to honor the game's origins and introduce new players to the sport's roots. It's a reminder of how far pickleball has come from its humble beginnings.

5️⃣ International Pickleball Continues to Grow! 🌏

Exciting news from across the globe! The Indian Pickleball Association (IPA) announced its selection trials for the 2025 Pickleball World Cup team, while the Sansan Fukuoka Open in Japan is set to feature a big pro lineup. These developments highlight the sport's rapid international expansion and the growing number of opportunities for players outside of North America. It's clear that the dinking revolution is a worldwide phenomenon!
